Everyone can help someone be significant
I’ve been impressed with the Back in Motion Group’s business and corporate social responsibility work through my own work in heathcare marketing. Back in Motion is the largest Australian-owned provider of physiotherapy and related services, supporting more than 50 locations around the country, giving hundreds of qualified clinicians and support staff rewarding jobs, and delivering quality health care to literally tens of thousands of clients every year.
Back in Motion uses a franchise model, a proven system of business growth. After conducting thorough industry research, feasibility studies and a detailed due diligence of the opportunities in allied health care, the Back In Motion Health Group was launched over 10 years ago with outstanding results. As a business model, franchising has been used successfully in healthcare all over the world. It just hasn’t been done well in physiotherapy and related services… until now!
So what does this all have to do with The Brave Discussion, well apart from a good old recommendation for Back in Motion (Disclosure: no I don’t do work for them) I am impressed with their corporate social responsibility programmes through their own foundation known as the SOS Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing caring health and welfare support to the poor in urban and remote communities of Australia… to be significant in the lives of others!
It’s great to see a group thinking oustide the box and developing their own programmes using the skillsets of their profession as a way of giving back.
The Back in Motion group annually host the major fundraiser for the SOS Foundation known as Work4Significance. Since the first Work4Significance Day in 2009, funds raised have supported various Outreach Missions, purchase of medical equipment for disadvantaged communities and the SOS Crisis Support Program.
The money raised for Work4Significance Day is primarily used by SOS Foundation to fund the provision of health and welfare services, and practical assistance in:
- Urban Poverty Relief projects.
- Outreach Missions to disadvantaged indigenous communities in remote Australia.
TheBack In Motion Health Group community across Australia, pursues their vision to be significant by donating every dollar received on this day to a truly significant cause.
You too can “be significant”. Find out how you might get involved this year (no dates have yet been announced for 212) but make an enquiry about booking a physio treatment, massage, pilates session or any other of the many services BIM offer and help raise funds for the SOS Foundation. To locate a participating practice near you visit the Back In Motion website.
